Quizzes in Canvas are difficult to print and cannot be downloaded directly to an editable format. Quizzes can be exported from Canvas as a QTI file and then imported into Respondus. From Respondus the quiz can be printed. This Guide will provide step-by-step instructions for the entire process.
Please note this feature only works with quizzes and not question banks. In order to download a question bank, first create a quiz with all the questions from the question bank.
Export a Quiz from Canvas
Step 1: From within a Canvas course, click Settings in the course navigation menu.
Step 2: Select Export Course Content from the right side menu of the Course Details page.
Step 3: From the Content Exports page, click New Export.
Step 4: Select the Export Type (Quiz) and click the checkbox next to the title of the quiz you wish to export. Then, click Create Export. This will generate and download a zipped QTI file.
