What is Qualtrics?

Qualtrics is an online survey software platform that provides faculty and staff the ability to quickly and easily create questionnaires, post surveys, collect responses, analyze results, and distribute findings. The University provides access to its online survey tool for faculty and staff. Students are granted access individually.

Features at a Glance
  • Various question formats (multiple choice, open ended, etc.)
  • Customizable survey design and UNF branded content
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting tools
Built-in distribution methods (email, social media, QR codes)
  • Share, collaborate, and export both surveys and data.

Scope and Cost

Qualtrics is proprietary software that has been scoped to all UNF Faculty and staff, and it is available within their myWings account. Selected UNF students and student groups on campus are permitted access to Qualtrics only with faculty and/or staff sponsorship with an accompanying statement of purpose concerning access to the software. Sponsors are required to compose a written request, listing student’s full names, UNF N#’s, and accompanying statement of purpose justifying student access to Qualtrics. These written requests can be emailed to CIRT (citrlab@unf.edu).

Canvas Integration

Qualtrics does not have a Canvas Integration (LTI). However, Qualtrics surveys can be shared in Canvas via a sharable link and/or a QR Code that are posted within a Canvas Announcement, Page, and/or, External URL link module item.

Requirements

Qualtrics is a web-based platform and works on most popular operating systems, including Windows 7 or later, macOS/iOS 9.0 or later, and Android 5.0 or greater. Qualtrics recommends using a modern, up-to-date web browser for optimal experience.

Caveats

All Qualtrics users at UNF must access the platform through myWings and users must login using their UNF credentials and password.

Support Report

The implementation of a grading system for CIRT support not only facilitates efficient resource allocation but also fosters transparency in our service delivery. By self-grading our support levels as A+, B+, and C+, we provide faculty with a transparent framework that outlines the expected level of assistance they can anticipate when reaching out for help.

A support grade of “A+” represents the best of our assistance capabilities. This grade signifies that our team has extensive familiarity with the app and/or integration. We have excellent internal documentation, and our support team feels comfortable troubleshooting most issues without having to reach out to the vendor for assistance. Because a majority of issues are handled internally, users of applications and/or integrations with an “A+” grade can expect swift and comprehensive resolutions when possible.

External Resources

To further empower UNF instructors, we provide direct links to the vendor’s support material, ensuring you have access to official resources and expert guidance. Furthermore, we curate and share external support documentation discovered online that may offer valuable insights or alternative perspectives. Our commitment is to provide you with a holistic support experience, combining our internal expertise with external resources to empower you in navigating the intricacies of this application.
