The LTI application provides video courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills.

LinkedIn Learning is free for all UNF students, faculty, and staff to use. And, you do not have to have a LinkedIn.com account in order to use LinkedIn Learning through UNF.

Canvas Integration

The 1.3 LTI is already installed in every UNF Canvas course, however, faculty and students will access LinkedIn Learning as an External Tool through a Canvas Module as opposed to a Course Navigation Link. Faculty will also have the ability to create LinkedIn Learning assignments through the External Tool feature. The LinkedIn Learning LTI allows instructors to seamlessly integrate LinkedIn Learning videos and courses into their Canvas assignments in an SSO environment. Instructors can then leverage Canvas to allow students to access LinkedIn Learning and create assessment activities in their courses.

LinkedIn Learning LTI features include:

  • Students can access LinkedIn Learning courses directly from within Canvas using their existing Canvas credentials.
  • Easily search, preview, and add relevant courses directly within the Canvas interface, eliminating the need to switch between platforms.
  • LTI enables syncing of grades and completion data between LinkedIn Learning and your Canvas gradebook.
  • Track student progress within Canvas.

Requirements

LinkedIn Learning is an online platform that can be accessed through most modern web browsers on any device with an internet connection. A recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge is recommended.

LinkedIn Learning does have a mobile application that is free to download for both iOS and Android devices. The app allows users to access the same course content and features as the web platform to learn on the go.

Caveats

While a LinkedIn profile is not mandatory, having one offers many benefits like personalized course recommendations and the ability to showcase your learning achievements on your profile.

Support Report

The implementation of a grading system for CIRT support not only facilitates efficient resource allocation but also fosters transparency in our service delivery. By self-grading our support levels as A+, B+, and C+, we provide faculty with a transparent framework that outlines the expected level of assistance they can anticipate when reaching out for help.

A support grade of “A+” represents the best of our assistance capabilities. This grade signifies that our team has extensive familiarity with the app and/or integration. We have excellent internal documentation, and our support team feels comfortable troubleshooting most issues without having to reach out to the vendor for assistance. Because a majority of issues are handled internally, users of applications and/or integrations with an “A+” grade can expect swift and comprehensive resolutions when possible.
