What Is FlatWorld?
FlatWorld is an instructor-friendly homework and quiz publishing tool that provides integrated courseware for STEM and mathematics textbooks.

- FlatWorld Homework includes questions in the forms of graphs, choice matrices, fill-in-the-blank, image and graph labeling, and more.
Scope and Cost
FlatWorld has been whitelisted for faculty use, is scoped at the course level, and is available for install upon request. As a STEM-focused, LTI, the FlatWorld Homework integration is primarily used in mathematics courses.
While the FlatWorld LTI is free, the costs of FlatWorld textbooks can vary. All FlatWorld textbooks come complete with a full range of instructor supplements, included homework system, and an easy-to-use customization platform, all at no extra cost
Canvas Integration
FlatWorld can be activated upon faculty request by emailing cirtlab@unf.edu. The LTI, once activated, provides faculty with access to mathematics textbooks, courseware, and quizzes.
Requirements
Users will require an account at FlatWorld’s website in order to purchase or access textbooks and associated courseware. Faculty are encouraged to learn more about FlatWorld before adopting.
Support Report
The implementation of a grading system for CIRT support not only facilitates efficient resource allocation but also fosters transparency in our service delivery. By self-grading our support levels as A+, B+, and C+, we provide faculty with a transparent framework that outlines the expected level of assistance they can anticipate when reaching out for help.
A support grade of “C+” suggests a baseline level of assistance, indicating that CIRT has a foundational understanding of the application or integration. While competent in addressing common issues, “C+” signifies a lower level of proficiency compared to higher grades. This grade may mean that the application is very new or that the scope is limited to a small number of users. Users of applications assigned a “C+” grade can expect a best effort toward issue resolution, however we cannot guarantee the same level of expertise and efficiency as higher support tiers. We may be dependent on the application vendor or public documentation to address issues, and there may be support delays, especially where specialized knowledge or administrative access beyond our scope is required.
